I live in Delaware and go several times a year to Oakland, Maryland to visit family, one of the
must stops is Archies. My coworkers and I love pulled pork and we all agree that Archies is
the VERY best we have ever had, in fact when ever they know I am going to Western
Maryland they start giving me orders for pulled pork and baked beans so after having a great
meal at Archies and by the way I am never disappointment. I get something different each
trip, I usually take home with me 4 to 10 pounds of pulled pork. The only setback is that I
get to smell it for the 4 hour trip. Keep up the good work you have the very best
food around.

Dear Archie's,
Archie's BBQ is perhaps the most practical eating establishment in all of Deep Creek. The food is delicious. For instance, the Buffalo Chicken Wrap provides the perfect balance between the spicy Buffalo sauce and the sweet-tangy blue cheese dressing. They even set the wrap on the griddle right when you order it, so the tortilla does not break while you are eating. The prices are also wonderful -- $7.95 will buy you HALF a smoked chicken and a slice of cornbread. Archie's maintains a simple menu of well-planned, successful items. Because the staff does not need to manage a large number of choices, the food is hot and ready (or very close to ready) upon arrival. I have spent 1-2.5 hours at other restaurants in the area waiting for the food to be selected, prepared, delivered, and consumed. If time is important to you, Archie's will not let you down. Archie's came highly recommended by my co-workers, who have visited Deep Creek often on business. Despite having been here for a total of 10 days, I have eaten at Archie's FOUR times. I would recommend it to anyone. Except maybe vegetarians.

I was up at Deep Creek and found Archies by coincidence. That is some of the best damn BBQ in the DMV. I would high recommend Archies if your living in or visiting the area. I definitely plan on stopping by the next time im there. I wished they could ship their award winning BBQ. I can't say enough about Archies. There wasn't a thing on the menu I didn't enjoy. It's a very nice family atmosphere. They make you feel right at home. I almost pulled my shoes off and placed them in the chair so I could eat and watch tv. I had the hotdog with pulled pork one day, then i had a smoked turkey sandwich that make you wanna smack your mama. The ribs just fell of the bones. That was the best brisket i've had and i've had some good brisket from other places. I ended up taking a pound of turkey pulled pork home with me. Can't say to much else except stop by and see for yourself. Keep up the great BBQ work Archies family.

My husband, my son and I were in the Deep Creek area the weekend of September 5th.  On Saturday we chose to stop at Archies for lunch.  We would like to commend your establishment on a job well done.  This was truly the best meal we had during our trip.  We look forward to coming back to Deed Creek and of course enjoying another meal at Archies.  We appreciate you dedication to BBQ.

For our fun night we decided to go out for our traditional BBQ - I guess when you do something two years in a row it is then considered a tradition. Anyway - last year we did Dirty Ernie's in West Virginia and this year we did Archie's. What a treat - when we arrived our name was flashing on the outside sign - we basically had the whole restaurant to ourselves, and they even helped us out with a birthday surprise for Mindy. The food was great and the service was stellar! We loved our time there and I highly suggest if you are in the Deep Creek Area you need to check out Archies! Thanks for a great time!
